The New Concept English for Senior Secondary Schools series has been designed for teaching and learning English language at the Senior 􀀶econdary 􀀶chools level􀀏 and offers an impeccable platform for preparing students for the 􀀶enior 􀀶econdary 􀀶chools 􀀦erti􀃀cate E􀁛amination (WAEC and NECO) in English language. The grammar component teaches a particular topic, often reinforced through exercises and pair work. The reading component helps st􀁘dents to re􀃁ect and discuss, summarise and draw conclusions. The writing component is taught through guided composition, where students are engaged in re􀃁ective thin􀁎ing􀀑 􀀬t is important to state that the listening texts have been included as an appendix to the book. This is done to discourage students from reading the texts in advance.
