ABOUT THIS BOOK:
The use of HSC (High Strength Concrete) from local materials using 10mm 3/8 and admixtures such as Micro silica, Auracast 200, Fly ash, is expected to increase as we move into the next century in both Nigeria and other corners of the World. The concrete which has a cubic compressive strength more than 24N/mm is known as High Strength Concrete (HSC) which differs from Normal Strength Concrete (NSC) in that its variable contains a high range of reducer ( or super plasticizer) while the normal strength concrete contains it rarely. In recent years there have been a rapid growth of interest in high strength concrete (HSC). Basic ingredient may be the same such as Portland cement, water, aggregate, and admixture while other ingredient such as fly ash, silica, Auracast 200 may or not be presented in either type of concrete.
